· Hi beautiful people: I have just upgraded an iMac Mid 2010 running OS X 10.7 Server from Parallels 8 to 9. The Win7 x86 Boot Camp partition was mounting fine on Parallels 8 and everything was functional, but since the upgrade the "Human Interface Devices" category is constantly dropping one of the devices, then rediscovering it, only to drop it again straight away.
· I'm running Ubuntu 12.04 LTS on Parallels 8.0.18354 (but this has been seen with previous builds) I have dual screens (laptop and a LCD monitor) with the Ubuntu VM extending across both screens. Often, when I'm moving the mouse pointer on the laptop (primary) screen, it will instantly jump over to the LCD monitor (secondary) screen.

Improved speed. Parallels claims that Desktop 8 performance is up to 30 percent faster for input/output operations, 30 percent faster for games and up to 25 percent faster for virtual machine operations such as boot, suspend, shutdown and resume, when compared to Parallels Desktop 7 for Mac.
Parallels has the design for this nailed. When running full screen the Windows VM looks like another desktop. When I want to switch back to my Mac I can just put the mouse at the bottom of the screen and the doc pops right. When I select a Mac application I am taken to my main desktop and I'm completely back in Mac land.

· BootCamp won every one of those trials hands down. That said, games like The Sims, 2, 3, 4 may not be so graphic intensive that you'd notice the difference. I guess we'll find out soon enough. I'm going to install The Sims 2 on Parallels 8 just to see how it goes. Maybe Parallels 10 when it comes out will be improved in this respect.

With the StartMenuExperienceHost.exe issue, I have no clue how to stop this process from waking up my PC. I don't even know in what way this process causes my PC to wake up.
